Gout is a painful condition when there are high levels of uric acid in the blood. The uric acid builds up in the fluid around the joints (synovial fluid) that causes uric acid crystals to form. These crystals cause the joint to become inflamed, causing pain, swelling and warmth. Chronic gout is repeated episodes of pain and inflammation. Gout may run in families, but the exact cause is still unknown. The condition is more common in men, in women after menopause, and people who drink alcohol. This Clinical Trial treatment is an FDA approved medication combined with a 2nd FDA approved medication to achieve maximum results.
